Quaint Antique ‘Risqué Ladies’ Powder Flask late 18th Century / Early 19th Century
This is an vintage black powder flask/ possible C 20th. One would hold gun powder. Could be a display piece as doesn’t seem to have a filling hole in it. Marvellous piece with a fantastically ornate cream coloured (possibly ivory) plate on each side displaying risqué ladies in the nude.
This donut shaped object has a hole in the centre and is inlaid within a metal surround. With a magnificent metal link chain held either side for easy wear. Also on the top is a metal spring action lever to dispense the powder from inside.
Original antique condition piece, no visible damage.
