Antique Scrollwork Filigree Topaz Honey Faceted Glass Gold Brooch Pin

This is an antique Victorian or Art Deco-style brooch featuring a large, faceted amber glass stone set in an ornate metal frame. Design Style: Commonly described as Art Deco or Victorian Revival. It features a central large faceted stone—often referred to as topaz glass or honey-colored rhinestone—set in an intricate filigree or scrollwork brass setting. Possible Origin: Pieces of this style were frequently produced in Czechoslovakia (Czech filigree) during the early to mid-20th century, particularly before WWII. Approximate Age: Most similar items date back to the 1900s–1920s.  Condition: vintage loss and wear. Older rollover clasp had verdigris- entire brooch gently cleaned in delicate jeweley cleaner and dried. with metal wear/loss, the clasp is NOT fully functional and operates more like the older C-clasp. May have gold wash- leaves a gold streak in 10K acid test. One of the side stones is brighter yellow and the other, darker. Register on low glass range on PGT2.
