70's Original Mastermind Game - 2 players - Puzzle Solving Game - ages 10+

This is the "original" version of Chieftain's Mastermind. Mastermind is "an excellent game for the development of logic and puzzle solving skills". It involves a battle of wits and logic between two players. The code maker sets up the "code" behind a secret shield and the code breaker has 12 opportunities to duplicate the color and position of the hidden pegs. I believe it is the 1975 version, but I can't find a date on the box. Meant for 2 players ages 10 to adult, this game is a fun measure of intelligence. Take a try at cracking the code! Note: the only instructions are on the box. In excellent vintage shape, the game box has a little bit of wear. Please see the pictures for details.
