70s vintage navy blue heart button dress

70s does 40s vintage feedsack sailor style dress by Young World with the sweetest details! Dress is navy blue with lovely red heart buttons on the décolleté square neckline. Also features red and white striped piping on the square neckline, cuffs and functional pockets on the hips. Waist is adjustable and cinched with a red rope tie. Two slits on each side of the leg for ease of movement. Material has cotton or linen-like quality, possibly some kind of synthetic blend. Feedsack dresses were historically known for women who worked on the farms and used materials from cotton sacks in order to make garments due to the economy during the World Wars and The Great Depression. This is a 1970s take on the style with some sailor nautical inspiration added.
