8 balls of cotton and merino blend sport weight yarn for knitting in gray

Something different for your knitting experience! This is "Caterpillar", a cotton and merino blend in the colourway "Metalmark”. This yarn has a unique structure. It consists of a knitted cotton tube into which fluffy merino fibres are blown. This gives the yarn a smooth appearance, with a very soft and somewhat stretchy hand. The final product will develop a slight halo over time, adding to its charm. Each ball is 50 grams and 159 yards, for a total of 400g and approximately 1270 yards (1163 metres). This is enough for an adult's sweater, depending on the size and stitch pattern chosen. I bought this yarn to make myself a lightweight summer cardigan, and this is left over from that project.
