8 by YOOX black leather cap-toe Chelsea boots, EU41, NWT

Brand new 8 by YOOX black leather heeled Chelsea boots with leather cap-toe and chunky lugged soles, size EU41. This pair was my birthday present to myself this year, and I'm gutted that I can't get them on my feet. I tried a shoehorn, I tried contorting myself every which way, I tried using the undersized pull-tab at the back - and broke it. I've glued it so it looks cosmetically intact but fair warning; the pull tabs were not engineered to actually be useful. Disappointing since my other favorite Chelsea boots are the same brand, and they have highly functional pull tabs. Generally, 8 by YOOX has an excellent track record for boots, though, so don't let my clumsy contortions dissuade you. I considered taking them to my shoe guy & having him add a pair of heavy-duty pull tabs, but I decided not to spend even more money on them. If they're going to be that much effort for me to put on, I won't wear them anyway. Still, they are awesomely cool-looking boots with a definite 90s grunge aesthetic, so if you're young and limber enough (I am decidedly neither of those things), you can rock these boots with a whole variety of looks. The boots have a 3.5cm solid rubber platform with an 8cm heel, along with heavy lugged tread for winter traction, and I'm confident that they will be just as comfortable as all my other pairs of 8 by YOOX boots. They're size EU41, and will fit up to size 10.
