80s vintage black gold beaded nautical angora knit sweater button up cardigan

this gorgeous embroidered vintage knit cardigan from the 80s or 90s is in wonderful new deadstock condition, meaning it likely has never been worn, and still has its original paper tag attached! the long sleeved cardigan features a deep v neckline, slightly puffed removeable shoulder pads (they are secured by Velcro), a front button closure with four gold nautical motif buttons, and the cardigan is ribbed at the sleeve cuffs and bottom hem (has a bit of stretch). there is unique gold beading, clear gemstones, and pearly tassel embroideries on the black, gold and cream knitted base, and the pattern forms a swirl design. I love the sharp black contrast trimming around the neckline, and also that the cream part of the sweater is made of a fluffy angora blend! the fabric of the main body is a wool/acrylic blend (with a bit of an itch, so please be aware if you have sensitive skin) and the cardigan is unlined. tagged as womens size large, and I would say this fits size medium or large. in excellent deadstock condition with a few light pulls in the knit. measurements (lying flat): shoulder to shoulder: 18” bust (pit to pit): 21” across (42” when doubled) sleeve length (from shoulder seam): 23” centre back length: 24” bottom opening: 14”
