80s vintage blue denim tight fitted pencil wiggle full zip up jean dress small

this super cool vintage denim wiggle dress from the 1980s is truly a statement piece – I’m obsessed with the power shoulders and the cinched waist silhouette, it’s so quintessentially 80s! the dress features a uniquely pleated bodice, bracelet-length dolman/batwing style sleeves, large padded shoulders, a super fitted high waistline, and a midi hemline that hits just above the knee. it has a full metal zipper front with 2-way metal zips, which you can adjust up and down to your liking! the dress has two front pockets and there are leather tie-up details around the waistline and the sleeve cuffs, which add a western flair and allow for minor adjustments with fit. the fit is boxy and “oversized” around the bodice, but the waist and below flaunts a fitted pencil shape that is very form fitting and hugs your curves. the fabric is a sturdy 100% cotton medium wash denim, and the dress is unlined. tagged as vintage size 9, and I would say this best fits womens size small with a 24-26” waist. kindly note that the model usually wears 26-27” waist and although the top portion of the dress was roomy, the waist was quite tight. in great vintage condition with light distressing and two missing grommets. measurements (lying flat): pit to pit: 16.5” across shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 20” sleeve length: 20” waist: 12.5” across (25” when doubled, there is no stretch) hips: 17” waist seam to bottom hem: 22” centre back length: 41.5”
