80s vintage embellished funky button up shirt shorts 2 piece matching coord set

Rare! this is a crazy cool 2 piece set from the 80s or early 90s in amazing vintage condition. the collared shirt is a turquoise color with a subtle pinstripe design, and it features long sleeves, a seven front button closure, two buttons on each sleeve, and a rounded bottom hemline at the back. there are amazing rainbow embellishments and embroideries that bedazzle the front and the back of the shirt and the jeweling is all hand done and it is attached to the shirt by prongs, not by glue. the matching above-knee mini shorts are ultra high waisted and fasten at the front with three buttons and a zipper closure. they feature a slightly puffed fit at the hips, two front pockets and they are pleated at the bottom hemline. there is a bit of an elastic waist on the shorts but not much stretch. this 100% cotton matching set is super fun and maximalist and it makes the perfect ensemble, whether the pieces are worn together or apart! the shirt is labelled as womens size small (true to size) and shorts are labelled as size large, however they fit smaller than that, and would best fit womens size extra small or small (25” waistband). in great vintage condition. measurements (lying flat): shirt~ shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 18" bust (pit to pit): 19.5" sleeve length (from shoulder seam to sleeve hem): 20” centre back length (without collar): 26” shorts~ waistband: 12.5” (25" when doubled) short flare/bottom opening: 13” hips: 20” (40” when doubled) centre back length: 20”
