80s vintage novelty fruits print retro summer tank top shorts matching coord set

this is a charming vintage two-piece matching top and shorts set "made in Canada" from the late 80s or early 90s, featuring an adorable lemon and lime all over print on a black background! the sleeveless tank top has a scoop neckline, low arm holes and a pullover closure. the high waisted pleated shorts feature a flowy and loose wide leg, two deep front hip pockets, and they fasten at the side with two buttons (no zip closure). the shorts have a thick elastic band on the back of the waist which allow for some stretch. the fabric of the set is a light and breezy 100% rayon (unlined) that may be slightly sheer in certain lights. super cute to wear to a garden party, to the beach, or for casual every day summer wear. I also love that the two pieces can be worn together or styled as separates! the top is size as vintage size 14, and I would say this best fits womens size large. the shorts are tagged a bit smaller as vintage size 12, and I would say this best fits size medium (around 28” waist, with a bit of stretch)- however, please check measurements. in great vintage condition with some small imperfections. measurements (lying flat): tank top~ bust (pit to pit): 21” centre back length: 23” shorts~ waistband 14” across (28” when doubled) - but has a bit of stretch hips: approximately 22-24” across front rise (waist to crotch seam): 15.5” inseam (crotch seam to bottom of shorts): 9” shorts length: 21”
