80s vintage novelty teddy bear SKI print Berek Marta D hand knit sweater RARE

Rare! this is an incredible, super novelty vintage knit pullover sweater by Berek, produced and hang knit by marta d new york in the year 1989 (“knitted by hand with two needles,” as per label). the colorful sweater features a double-sided intricate knit design with skiing teddy bears and a text on the front that reads “SKI” with 3D textured elements such as ear muffs and scarves. the unique sweater features a ribbed high turtle neckline, long and roomy sleeves (almost balloon style), and a cropped bottom hemline. the sweater is handmade in Uruguay with a high quality 100% pima cotton that is thick and chunky, and the heavy knit sweater has a bit of stretch, and no itch. it has a slouchy silhouette and it goes on pullover style, is unlined. this amazing collectors piece is tagged as size large, and I would say this best fits womens size medium or large. in great vintage condition with light fraying/loosening of the knit, minor staining, and other light signs of wear (e.g. on the pom poms) throughout. measurements (lying flat): bust (armpit to armpit): 23” across (46” when doubled) shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 24” sleeve length (measured from shoulder seam): 18.5” armpit to bottom hem: 15” centre back length (without collar): 23” centre back length (with collar): 26” bottom hem opening: 18”
