90s vintage Raquels embroidered textured 3D jungle animals hand knit sweater

Rare! this crazy vintage jungle themed sweater from the 90s by Raquels was hand knit in Peru, and has been signed by the artist. the multicolor sweater features a “king of the jungle contest” scene on the front with a variety of animals made from intricate mixed fabrics and textured embroideries, and the backside showcases the scoreboard and final winner of the contest (check photos to see who it is). the sweater has a crew neckline, bracelet-length sleeves (slightly shorter than full length), and is ribbed at the neckline, cuffs, and bottom hem. it is hand knit from a thick, warm and tight-knit 100% cotton, and the sweater goes on with a pullover closure, and is unlined. this unique piece is tagged as womens size medium, and I would say this fits true to size. in good vintage condition with some loose threading around fabric appliques, light fraying, minor staining, and light pilling throughout. measurements (lying flat): shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 19.5” bust (armpit to armpit): 19” across (38” when doubled) sleeve length (from shoulder sesam to sleeve cuff): 18” armpit to bottom hem: 14” centre back length: 25” bottom hem opening: 17” condition: in good vintage condition with some loose threading around fabric appliques, light fraying, minor staining, and light pilling throughout.
