90s vintage novelty football print funky embroidered knit button up cardigan

such an incredible collector’s piece! this vintage Minnesota Vikings button up knit cardigan from the 1990s is so novelty and cute – please note the adorable wooden football buttons on the front :) the long sleeved cardigan features a purple and yellow knitted body, a v neckline, and a five front button closure and a slightly cropped bottom hem. the sweater features hand embroidered designs of helmuts, cleats, and footballs with silver metallic accents, along with argyle diamond accents throughout. the fabric is a lightweight and tight knit ramie/cotton blend (all natural fibres), and the sweater has no shoulder pads, and is unlined. kindly note that the sweater has tear in the football design at the centre back (reflected in price), but it is in otherwise good condition, besides some light pilling and light fraying. tagged as womens size small, and I would say this fits true to size. measurements (lying flat): shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 17” bust (pit to pit): 19.5” (39” when doubled) sleeve length (from shoulder seam): 21.5” pit to bottom hem: 13” centre back length: 20.5” bottom opening: 17” condition: in good vintage condition besides a tear in the football at the centre back (reflected in price), and some light pilling and light fraying.
