90s vintage red novelty football argyle print embroidered knit cardigan large XL

this is a super fun vintage knit cardigan by Terazzo from the 90s featuring a football cheerleading theme – it is so novelty and kitsch! the long sleeved cardigan features a red and black knitted body with white and yellow argyle knitted accents, a crew neckline, and a seven front button closure. there are hand embroidered football-themed designs on the front with sparkly silver threading, and a “I love football” embroidery at the back. the delicate black lettuce trimming around the neckline, sleeve cuffs and bottom hem, is another adorable detail! the fabric is a lightweight and tight knit ramie/cotton blend (all natural fibres), and the sweater has no shoulder pads, and is unlined. tagged as womens size XL, and I believe it could fit womens size medium (oversized), large or XL- however, please check measurements. in excellent vintage condition with light fraying. measurements (lying flat): shoulder seam to shoulder seam: 21” bust (pit to pit): 22.5” (45” when doubled) sleeve length (from shoulder seam): 21” centre back length: 24”
