katgirl1973 Hi does the length of the pendant mean from the top of the ring that the chain goes through to the bottom of the pendant? Also is it a genuine peridot?

kelly_lamoureux @katgirl1973 hi katgirl, yes the length of the pendant from the top of the chain hoop to the bottom is 1 inch. As for the peridot, I'm going to have it appraised tomorrow so I'll let you know as soon as I can. KL

kelly_lamoureux Hi Katgirl: I brought the necklace to be appraised but as we have no gemologists in our area, the jeweller could only compare it to other real and synthetic paradot jewellery. He believes it is real because the synthetic ones are too bright green almost neon green compared to it. It matched a real paradot very closely in colour and cut so I am going with real. He also said that a real paradot is actually a cheaper stone and the one I have would go for around $50 alone without the necklace.

kelly_lamoureux Sorry...just want to add that to put a synthetic stone in would almost be a waist of time and effort because as I mentioned, paradot are not an expensive stone to use. Anyway, thanks for the interest.

kelly_lamoureux @katgirl1973 , there are variations of real peridot but the synthetic stones only come in a very bright almost neon green.
