Here is a fascinating pictorial history and cookbook with a chapter on each decade from 1900 to the 1990s: A Century of Canadian Home Cooking by Carol Ferguson and Margaret Fraser. It is a lavish and loving overview of our 20th Century culinary history. Each chapter includes numerous recipes typical of the decade: 1920s Flapper Pie, 1930s Baked Beans and on through the decades. Hundreds of authentic old time recipes along with ads, photos and food history of the times. It is a big 12” x 9” hardcover 254 pages. There is a 1/4” split at the top of the dust jacket, and the back of the book at the top & inside of dust jacket have a small area of discolouration, (see photos).
