A M.S. Benedict Mfg. shelf clock. The gold patina clock features a white face set with black Arabic numerals and an additional dial to mark the seconds. A round metal case holds the clock and is supported on a scrolling acanthus leaf pedestal. A crest composed of a spilling urn, leaves and fruits tops the case. To the side stands a putto gazing up at the clock face. To the revers of the face are the workings of the clock, including the key, and the stamp “M.S. Benedict Mfg. Co.”
