A book suggestion for back to school or general reading

Since back to school is around the corner, and there still is Summer break. Reading is one of the topics that usually goes on during vacation or preparing for an exam. If not just to pass the time. One book I recommend is Madame Bovary by Gustave Flaubert. The story of a woman who has the ruthless ambition for sensational romance which only leads to her destruction. It is a cautionary tale which resonates with our world of today. If you want to watch the film, the 1949 version is one of the best of all the adaptations of the book. (As shown in this post.)
