I'm 52 years old. Married 30.5 years to the best husband ever. I have a 25 year old son and a 34 year old daughter. My other son died at 24 years of age in 2008. My husband has been out of work since May 6th, 2016. Partial mastectomy 9/23/16. Chemo Nov & Dec + 30 rounds of radiation in Feb & March. I've lost 89 pounds. Now I have suspicious lump in other breast. 1st pic is before/after cancer.

cmc514 It's funny you mentioned hemming them! I just hemmed a pair for my friend. My job wasn't as good as the original! I'm not very good at keeping a straight line! haha I actually want to re-do it now that I have a rolled hem foot and see how awesome it is! She hasn't picked 'em up yet, I might have to rip it out and start over and do a rolled hem instead.

cmc514 It actually takes a bit of practice getting use to! It doesn't do seams, so you have to take it out of the foot, go over it while keeping fabric double rolled (tiny rolls too), then wiggle it back into the grooves after the seam. So getting that part down, AND keeping it nice looking, takes some practice. Other than that, its been really fun! Did you use a 5/8 seam allowance for these? Fabric like this I have a hard time with b/c it wants to slide all over the place! lol

I know it's hard, but when we loose hope we loose so much more than we realize. There's so much support here. Your not alone, please don't forget that when your having a bad day. Do something nice for someone you don't know, it helps me get my eyes off my own problems.

msneverending1 Ventilator for 5 days, when they took me off, I did not realize they tie your arms & legs down so you don’t pull tubes out. I could not move my right side. I was taken for a brain scan & evidently suffered a stroke during the 60 min they were bagging me to keep me alive. I got back about 50% of my right side back. I have weekly PTSD group therapy every Wednesday and individual therapy 2-4 times a month. The psychiatrist has got me on all kinds of medications. I don’t know what works and what doesn’t. I can’t sleep for more than 3 hours per night.

I have a wonderful counselor. I will definitely keep you in my prayers. But honestly he doesn’t seem to hear me. I never pray for my self. Just other people who need it. God bless you.

thing2and3 So sorry to read your story. Had 30 days radiation 2 years chemo 2 surgery’s for brain cancer. Given 5-7 years to survive but I’m 11 years now 😊 still having side affects from what cancer. Major eye problems from the radiation so I’m legally blind so no driving or leaving the house without help. Gained 50 lbs 😞 3 girls oldest was 5 when I found out I had cancer. ohusoneedthis Oh!!! How horrible for you! I pray that a cure will come along for breast cancer! My mother was paralyzed at age 14–birth defect. So she was ill much of her life. She survived breast cancer for about 4 yrs—almost 5 yrs. I lost her January 9th. Breast cancer not her cause of death.

ohusoneedthis Yeah!!! My mom didn’t die from it necessasarilybecause. They refused her having chemo and/or radiation. She wouldn’t haved through. You have been so tough and your fighting back!!! My mom had no treatment—and unfortunately they removed like, 27 lymph nodes. 25 of them had had cancer cellls! They felt ike they had good margins! But, without treatment those left left n her lymphatic system. So, it was just a matter of time that it would spread. She had a long list of medical problems.!!.
