@elizabethrhein Oh! No, although I never lived there, my Dad was born in Detroit in 1912 to Ambra DΓ©modΓ© Truesdell and Claude Delbert Truesdell (a barber and realtor). No doubt relatives still there. Gamaliel Truesdell is a family connection back to the Civil war. My family moved to Santa Paula California in 1913 or so. Any of this sound familiar? Holly Michigan too.

Google reveals that I'm about your age and I remember a Trudy Truesdell in my elementary school class in Detroit who moved away, possibly to Texas, when we were in 2nd or 3rd grade. I remember she had really cute clothes! I don't know why, but I've always wondered about her. Maybe she's a distant cousin of yours, or I have her last name wrong, or something else. Anyway, thanks!
