jkdesigns It is a hard way, to piece together a living as an artist. I teach too but with COVID I am unsure what will happen. So I pushed reeeeally hard. You do have to eat though, and rest, or it will show in your work. Trust me. I am old! I did it the wrong way a long time before I realized I was worthy of taking care of myself!

I can’t tell you how many times I have seen a piece just go tooooo far. The artist had it back at hello. I think insecurity causes artists to add one flourish too many. Stay confident. Your eye is spot on.

And we have a South facing wall of windows that I’m setting up this super groovy table we made of scraps from a fallen tree. We had a this great slab of pine that we got from a friends building site, it’s so cool the way it’s shaped kind of like a wave...

barefootmuse @issabeaujewelry ... We stained it in a burnt umber color and then cut pieces legs for it from a downed tree on our land and voila! We made a table! So I found a fab vintage outdoor rug that I placed beneath it and that way watering isn’t such a mess ya know. And I understand what ya mean about needing a grow light. I worry about it but our climate is such that if things aren’t getting enough light, we can move those items outside from time to time.
