ANTIQUE 'RS SILESIA' DISH - C.1900

This striking antique porcelain dish was manufactured between 1890 and 1915, a product of the Reinhold Schlegelmilch Company, which had factories at Suhl and Tillowitz, Germany. The dish is formed of two shallow bowls with a handle angled between them. The colour is a vibrant purple-blue shade with scattered white blossoms, as well as a nosegay of flowers in pastel colours in the center of the dish. The edges are finished with a bright metallic gold. The dish measures approximately 8 inches long and 4 inches wide, and about 2 inches high to the top of the handle. It is in good condition, without cracks, chips, wear, stains, or other damage or defect, and carries the green 'RS Silesia' mark (as shown). Handsome!
