Ark Imports are certified Fair Trade by the Fair Trade Federation. Their products including this jacket is handmade in Nepal by locals, especially women. The jacket itself is handmade using locally sourced materials, including the hand carved ox bone button. The tradition of up-cycling and reusing natural materials such as buttons have been the Nepalese culture for centuries. The jacket itself is made of a warm polyester fleece that doesn’t pile or shrink when washed. The hood is oversized and the 2 button closure makes this jacket easy to throw over top of anything, while the free flow cut is flattering on most body types.
