Superb designer Auckie Sanft, Montreal 1950's navy wool swing skirt suit with sculpted bow details. A definite nod to the Dior New-Look. Cropped hourglass jacket with princess seam construction and notched lapel and cuffs. Front button closure. Fully lined in navy silk. Full panelled swing skirt, stiffened with dark paper interfacing. Metal LIGHTNNG side zipper / hook & eye closure. Beautiful overall appearance and condition. Only flaws to note being a darned pinhole to back of collar and fraying to the edge of the bows. refer to images.
