This is a plaster statue made by Abbott of England in Canada likely in the 1960s. The statue is of a girl carrying a large basket on her shoulder while holding what might be grapes in her dress (man but people used to work hard!). Abbott of England was founded by Ben Abbott in Canada in the 1940s after he immigrated from England. He started out by importing British goods but moved on to making their own products; his company, still family run, still operates successfully today. There is wear on the statue and it suffers from some flaking. It stands just over 12" tall and is 4 1/4" at the base, which has felt on it for display purposes.
