rosenbmata @zil221 Another Cali Posher- awesome! Staying home is not an easy thing to do, but at least I live guilt free now. I do plan to go back to working with kids- thinking of Special Ed. But right now, my work is at home :) What kind of work did you do?

zil221 Sadly to say I never finished college, I am 55. I work in the cafeteria prepare over 700 meals a day. I have met many wonderful kids who I haved loved and given guidance. I simply love kids and want to know what they are thinking and there reactions. I have work with the Autistic. I can relate to them. Going back to work id a really good think. The hard times for kids is 7th and 8th grade. Alot going on hormones, trying to fit in, etc.

rosenbmata @zil221 I've thought about working in the lunch room too @ my kids' schools, just to be around and know their friends & school staff a bit more. I also like the school environment :) I have 2 in junior high, so I agree that it's important to be available to tend to their frequent changes/issues. I know if I was working I wouldn't be able to be there for them as much. It's a lot to run a household and be in tune with everyone's needs.

zil221 Are your boys into sports or book worms. My son always loved Science and Math. He is 29, wants to be Electrical Engineer. He is tutoring Math at the junior college. They want him to teach now, I guess he can under a program. Did you want a girl?

rosenbmata @zil221 Yeah I'm less than an hour north of San Fran. My little one keeps me up really late. Plus my husband doesn't get home until after 10, sometimes 11. So I'm always up later in the night. Stockton is more central Cali right? How's life on a dairy farm? My oldest boy seems to dabble a little in everything. He does like math too, but the jr high math is proving to be a bit more challenging than he expected. I like math myself. Electrical engineers make good money right?

rosenbmata @zil221 I was hoping for a girl, and I'm getting her :) 4 hours is a really short labor! My 3rd child was was 4 days! I was induced, but the labor wasn't progressing. I hope that doesn't happen again! How many children did you have?

zil221 Dairy life was wonderful. Sometimes lonely but enough land to run and play. I come from a Portuguese family. My mom and dad were childhood sweethearts. Get a tudor for your son with Math. Years ago my son was very sick and the doctor said that it is a myth for girls not to like math, get a tudor!!

rosenbmata @zil221 35 yrs- that's awesome! Congrats! My parents are still married, but not too happily 😒 maybe they should go to a concert - bring some fun & romance back in their life. Having two good, easy going boys is pretty nice :) Mine are in the middle- not lil' Angels, but not complete trouble makers either. I guess that's like me too :)

zil221 I would buy dolls for my daughter. When she was 7 she told me she hates dolls. She is going to get a 4.0 and work with animals. She attended the only learning zoo in southern calif. For 2 ,years. It is a hard field but she works full time during the week. On saturday volunteers at Sacramento zoo. We must of taken the kids to the san francisco zoo fifty times when they were little.

rosenbmata @zil221 I think it's important for kids to have a good space to run around. Important for the parents too. We have a big backyard & it's nice to send my boys outside to play. You can't do that when living in an apartment :( Childhood sweethearts, huh? How young were they? I try to discourage my girl from getting serious with boys- I want her to do the love/romance thing later. I married my high school "sweetheart" & it didn't work out well.

zil221 Hope I am not boring you. My daughter took care of the famous dog on t.v., Stan, on Dog with Blog on Disney channel. Again it was volunteer work. But I am proud to say she took a black lab to many schools, working as contra band. Sniffing pack backs.

zil221 Your right about getting too serious. Both of my kid's are single. My son id dating but my daughters had a couple relationships but didnt work out. I married st 20, but it wasnt easy. Alot of growing up to do.Both of us had to learn to communicate. It is not easy and I can understand why there is do much divorce. Alot of give and take. Understanding there faults and being patient to accept them. Always look for the good

zil221 Thinking of you. Hope your boys are doing good. Our school is closed tomorrow. I went to 3 classes and ask them to write down what they are thankful for. It' amazing how kids look up to there parents. Several were thankful there parents and dogs keep them. If you watch the news there were drive by shootings in stockton. Unfortunately that is the location where I work.

zil221 I am going to my parents. My dad isn,'t a big fan of turkey. We have it but he likes honeybaked ham. So tomorrow at 7 am I am going to get the ham. I make a delicious raspberry jello with applesauce. I top it with sour cream and marshmellows.

rosenbmata @zil221 That sounds like an interesting dessert! Did you come up with that recipe yourself? My husband doesn't like turkey much either- he wanted a ham too, but I told him he has to wait for Christmas for it :) He's fine with chicken. I will be doing most of the cooking with my parents over. My oldest brother lives with us, so he'll be here too. My husband is a sous chef, so he has to work (boo!), but at least they close early, so hopefully he'll be home around 7.

rosenbmata @zil221 A sous chef is basically the Chef's right-hand man. The chef is the boss of the kitchen, and a sous chef is next-in-command. So my husband works a lot :( I do a little shopping-I might go on Thursday night to the mall. I need to go to Foot Locker for my husband & son. I'm hoping there will be some kind of good deal.

zil221 I google sous chef. That is cool. Where is the restaurant? Have you heard of the Lush store? They have bath products, lotions that are all natural. If you ever see one go inside, very relaxing and fun experience. How old is your brother. I have one brother and two sisters. My older sister went back home to texas. My younger lives in Las Vegas. rosenbmata @zil221 No I haven't heard of that store- sounds nice though. I'll try it if I ever pass by one :) My husbands work is in a town called Sebastopol- it's on the way to Bodega Bay, but it's not a coastal town. Still 20-30 minutes from it. It's kind of a farm-to-table place. Pretty pricey, but yummy food. We get treats all the time from there :)

zil221 Hi, hope everything is going well. I am curious. Since I have been on posh, my card was used by someone, charging 200.00-$500.00 at walmart.com. So I am wondering if some how they get the info from posh because it has happened twice, since Sept. Have you heard anything. My bank charged me and I had to get a new card.
