liz_meyeronfire @ktafjen I was wondering about the red dress. I'm hoping you'll still follow through with this because that dress means a lot to me.

ktafjen Hi Liz. The red dress is actually in need of repair around the top of the dress! The dress is very pretty, but there were many areas I had to quickly fix where the lace was fraying away from the mesh so it could be worn for the dance. It looks like more areas came undone at the dance and will need repairs before I can send it to the cleaners.

ktafjen What I mean by repairs is that the fancy lace work is coming unravelled and separating from the mesh of the body part, mainly in front and the side where the arms rub. If it is sent to the cleaners as is, the fraying will get worse and be very noticeable. Im not sure when your prom is, but I would need to find a seamstress with an embroidery style sewing machine to fix this first, I'm sorry!

ktafjen Also, I'm not sure how tall you are, my daughter is 5' 4" and had to wear flats with this dress as it was hemmed short and unevenly, so you can tell the under layer is shorter in some parts than the sheer outer layer, and it did not come to the ground for her at 5' 4".

ktafjen This really is/was a beautiful dress, but it looks used! If you an wait a few weeks, I can try and find someone that does lace work, have it cleaned and list it, but by then it will cost more than the original $100 I paid for it!

ktafjen in most parts the beading/rhinestones are still there, but some came undone at the prom just from arms rubbing on dress and slow dancing, and those are gone, and there are pills on the lace, like a sweater gets after few washings.

ktafjen Can I be really honest with you? This dress I'm sure was gorgeous when it was new, but my daughter was same as you, in love with the dress from the photos and was disappointed when she saw the wear and tear in real life. Seamstress to fix dress won't be cheap, that's if I can find one. Are you really wanting to pay $150 for a dress in this condition?

ktafjen I intended to re-list and make my money back so she could afford her next dress, but this is your prom and I want to be honest with what you're going to be getting! Oh, and the dress came with 2 nickle sized noticeable grease spots on the front of the skirt that I could NOT get out! They show up as darker red.

ktafjen No, sorry, it was cut off. I'm really sorry about this Liz! I know you were interested in this, but if I sold you this dress for what we paid $100 or less, it would still be too much, uncleaned and falling apart, and I would feel so bad! You want to look beautiful at prom, and this dress's lace was so delicate, it is falling apart. Good luck, and again I'm sorry.
