Legacy
The Adidas World Cup has been around since the 1982 FIFA World Cup, and is still sold today, largely unchanged — making it one of the longest-running football boots in history.

More info from 🤖 :
For wet/muddy natural grass: keep your SG studs (longer ones).
For drier natural grass: swap to shorter SG studs (Adidas offers official replacements; some people even use mixed sets — 4 long studs in the heel, 6 short in the forefoot).
For hard ground / turf / artificial grass: it’s best to use a different pair of boots (FG or AG soleplate). The World Cup SG isn’t designed for that.

🔩 Stud system
The World Cup SG uses threaded screw-in studs.
You can remove them with a standard stud wrench.
Adidas (and third-party brands) sell replacement studs in different lengths (e.g. 11mm, 13mm, 16mm, 18mm).
⚠️ Limitation
You can’t convert them into hard ground (HG) or firm ground (FG) molded cleats.
