Adrienne Vittadini, Designer wool coat

This vintage designer coat by Adrienne Vittadini was made in Slovakia in the early 1980s. This American fashion designer, who was originally from Hungary started her business in 1979. She was well known for using vibrant colours and prints. Her company was sold in 2001 to retail brand Alliance. This coat has a wonderful woven pattern. It has small padded shoulders and 2 pockets. It is made of pure virgin wool and has the softest sheepskin leather edging running the full length of the coat on the inside on both sides. The buttons are hidden except for the top one. They are made of brass and some composite material with the designers name stamped on each button. This is a beautifully designed coat in excellent vintage condition. Says it is a size 2 but would fit someone who wears up to a size 6.
