After doing some research, I found that vintage mechanical alarm clocks like this one usually need to be wound daily to keep accurate time. It’s generally recommended to wind them at the same time each day (often in the morning) until you feel resistance. When I tested this clock, it actually ran longer than a day (I can’t say exactly how long), but I would still recommend following those guidelines if you plan to use the alarm regularly.
