Beautiful vintage brooch with abalone and mother-of-pearl inlay, made in Mexico. The metal is alpaca silver, an alloy of copper, nickel, and zinc, and not solid silver. The brooch has a floral motif on top. Materials: Iridescent abalone shell and white mother-of-pearl inlaid in an alpaca silver alloy. Origin: It is stamped "Alpaca Mexico" on the back. Style: Floral design, typical of vintage Mexican craftsmanship.
