1940s waspie waist coat in cherry red 🍒 luxurious velvet with elegant black braided trim rockabilly era pinup girl style Ska/Swing era Hollywood Golden age era Has original bakelite buttons in working order Was a one of a kind Tailored piece originally Made by ely's tailor & dress makers (this company has a long and fascinating history if you're interested )of Doylestown PA USA 🇺🇸 own a piece of Historic Americana Iconic style Immaculate darting and seams stunning craftsmanship through out - they don't make em like this any more Has been upcycled gently & mindfully by hand so as to preserve the original shape and style whilst making it able to fit a more wide variety of sizes. Was originally super xs ....the back has had a chiffon & lace button up triangular Godet panel inserted , to make the jacket a little bigger. Adds a steampunk style flare compliments the original design without changing much. Easy to return to original xs size by removing panel&restitching Lining inside sleeves have been spliced to give the wearer more wiggle room. Looks adorable worn open or buttoned up as a layering piece. Very wearable and well cared for Has a few tiny age spots but they're not very noticeable when wearing One of a kind upcycled even more one of a kind removed & Reattached the original label after upcycling to preserve and respect the original maker of this masterpiece Can provide exact measurements if needed.
