Amazing condition GSW roll top lid bread box; teal and white, Bakelite handle. This is an unusual and beautiful General Steel Wares breadbox with no painted design on the lid, and it is in pristine condition for an early 50s piece. The classic teal of the body contrasts delightfully with the white roll top lid, accented with a simple black Bakelite handle. This was a popular colour scheme in the 50s and would be right at home in any vintage kitchen. Condition- a couple TINY dents that are a non-issue, some extremely minor paint wear which I tried to picture, scratched/scuffed paint on the base, and some dullness to the finish on the top. The interior is clean but may have some small rust patches that could be buffed out. Overall this is a stunning, collectible piece.
