Hi, is the xxl loose fitting or would it also flatter xl? and is the piling really visible?

@becca89t Hi! I would say it fits small for an xxl. I am normally around a L/xl and when I would wear it, it was oversized, but not too sloppy. As for the piling, I find it's pretty typical of ampersand. The last photo with the close-up probably represents it best. Hope that helps :)
