In very good pre-owned condition, this is a fun and colorful board book for small children. It is "Animals Sing Aloha" by Vera Arita and illustrated by Ron Louie. It was published in 2013 (4th printing) by BeachHouse Publishing, Hawaii. This book is designed to introduce young children to phonics, or the symbol-sound relationships of the alphabet. It can be read or sung to an original tune (see music score inside). Each letter of the alphabet can be traced with your child's finger, spoken our loud, and recognized with a visual cue that connects the sound, word, and object - all within a Hawai'i-based context. Kids won't even realize they are learning - they'll simply love the rhythm and repetition of the text, the colorful illustrations, and the interactive fun of tracing all the letters. Measures 6 x 5 inches and .5 inch thick. It was printed in China. There is minor wear on the corners of the cover.
