"Luxurious traditional Imari pattern #2451 with the rich cobalt blue underglaze and the red, gold detailed overglaze makes this Royal Crown Derby cake plate a “staple” for any collection."
The mark indicates this was made 1780 - 1820! That means this plate is 200 years old at least!
"The well known mark of crown, crossed swords, dots and ‘D’ was adopted during the management of William Duesbury II from about 1784 and marks of this form were incised, or painted in puce or blue enamel, and slight variations occur. The mark, as illustrated, was continued in use by Robert Bloor until circa. 1820."
10.5″ x 9.5″
Has some fading and some black speckles (paint?) Still a great piece with lots of history.
These porcelain plates with early stamp and the Imari pattern are worth about 250 in perfect condition so I have marked it down considerably. Price reflects condition. Make me an offer!
