Antique 1908 "T" Comfort Clip

This antique clip is made of a brass tone metal (or just brass) and is made in a style patented Dec 1, 1908. This makes the date of creation for this piece that year or shortly after. The clip is meant to sit at the front of a man's buttoned collared shirt and hold it comfortably in place. I've included a picture of the patent overview so you can see how it works. The clip is stamped on the back and says, "COMFORT CLIP CHICAGO PAT DEC 1 - 08". There is wear throughout, most visible as tone darkening and superficial marks in the surface of the metal, but the piece is still very functional and isn't really intended to be decorative so much as structural.
