Faceted citrine glass stone is a beautiful amber colour. Scottish in origin. Hallmarks (a system of marks stamped on precious metal items in the UK to guarantee their purity and origin) are as follows: The marks visible are: WBS: Ward Brothers. Anchor symbol: The anchor is the assay office mark for Birmingham, England. Lion passant: This is the sterling silver mark, indicating the metal is 92.5% pure silver. Letter 'S': This is the date letter, which corresponds to a specific year. In this case, the letter 'S' in this style indicates the year 1917.
