Antique pewter sugar bowl and creamer set
Authentic Tudric Pewter Ware
Made in England
Stamped on the bottom as pictured, with the Tudric Herald Crier logo and numbered 01537
My research into this set has shown mixed opinions on whether this is a Liberty or not, but I've found a 4 piece Liberty tea set with this exact creamer and sugar bowl, for $450
I believe based on this particular Tudric stamp that these are from the 1920s
Hammered pewter gives a beautiful texture and appearance!
These are in great shape all around, considering their age, with the following things to note:
- There is a small (1 cm) dent below the spout on the creamer
- There are a few minor chips/dings on the underside of both pieces
- The insides are quite dirty and tarnished and these are sold as decor only - antique pewter is not suitable for food products. The creamer has some dried melted wax inside, and I suspect someone has likely used this as a candle holder in the past.
Otherwise no other damage to disclose. The outsides of these pieces show minor tarnish but no serious odd discoloration. They are structurally sound and look absolutely beautiful together!
They each measure approx 5.25" diameter with the handles/spout
They each measure approx 2.5" tall with the handles
They each weigh just less than 200g
Cottagecore, cabincore, grannycore, shabby chic, traditional, old world
