Antique 1921 Grey Dawn (by) Wallace MacAskell

Antique "1921 Grey Dawn" framed in dark faux silver beaded wood decor (a clipper ship leaving port). Artistic soft - focus photograph Grey Dawn in pencil at left margin and signed at lower right margin by the noted Nova Scotia, Canada photographer Wallace MacAskill (1887-1950). MacAskill is said to have destroyed 99 of 100 images he took. As it stands an archive of 4,000 images is maintained, suggesting a half million images could have been created by this photographer. This excellent photograph stands at 12 1/2 inches wide x 15 3/4 inches tall x 3/4 inches deep with frame. Please see the title on bottem left of picture and signature at bottom right of photographer.
