Antique 950 Sterling Silver Link Necklace With Safety Latch Clasp

Rare and exquisite antique / vintage woven and twisted link necklace. Handmade. 17" long. In excellent condition. With a safety latch type closure that I have never seen on necklaces before. Stamped 950, meaning that it contains 95% of pure silver, a bit more than in the standard 925 silver (with 92.5% of pure silver). 950 silver jewelry was made in the 18th and the 19th century, during Victorian time, and then was gradually discontinued. This particular necklace is hard to date, but based on the quality and style, most likely it was made between 1870th and 1950th.
