Antique Art Nouveau? Picture Frame

This hand made frame from the past can be hung on a wall or sit on a shelf. There is a hinged 'door' at the back top that opens and closes allowing one to insert a photograph. It was originally gilted and still retains some of the gold. I believe the underlying metal is copper.
