Antique Birks Sterling Crystal Bar Brooch

This antique brooch by Birks is made of sterling silver and has an old-style c clasp with an early lock system. The pin extends beyond the closure, helping to show its age. The front of the brooch features round white/clear crystal rhinestones as well as blue and white/clear crystal stones through the middle. You can tell the stones are crystal and not glass by the sharpness of their cuts and the clarity in their colour. Glass rhinestones wouldn't shine like this after a hundred years. The back of the brooch is stamped "Sterling, Birks, and KF". The brooch is in very good condition and is not missing any stones, it just has some minor wear from time and use.
