Here is an antique copy of the children's book "A Young Mutineer, A Story For Girls" by L. T. Meade with illustrations by Gordon Browne, published by Hurst & Company pre-1908. It has 187 pages and no dustjacket. This highly decorative book has faded green cloth covered boards with red and green lettering on the cover and gilt lettering on the spine. There is lovely red and green floral decoration on the pictorial cover with an inset of a girl's face. The frontispiece is a black and white photo of the author. There are several line illustrations throughout. Misprint: The title on the cover is "The Young Mutineers", the spine: "Young Mutineer", and on the title page: "A Young Mutineer, A Story For Girls." This rare misprinted title on the cover makes it an interesting edition for any library. This book is in very good condition. The cover and spine are worn with some fading, smudges and bumped corners. There is a name, date on the inside front cover.
