Antique Book "Once Upon A Time" Richard H Davis, Charles Scribner's Sons 1910

This antique book contains, "Once Upon A Time" by Richard Harding Davis, published by Charles Scribner's Sons in 1910. This is a First Edition. It has a beautiful dark red buckram covered boards with bright gilt title and decoration on the spine and gilt embossed publisher's cartouche on the cover. It includes gilt upper page edges with the two other page edges deckled, some uncut. It is illustrated with a frontispiece with fine tissue guard overlay and many additional plates throughout. This is a series of short stories that show a fictionalized view of the world at the turn of the 20th century. See the photos for the Table of Contents. There is some wear and fading to the cover and spine with slightly bumped corners. There is an inscription inside the front cover. There are no marks that I could find inside, only a bit of yellowing to the deckled edges. Some of the pages are still uncut. The binding is firm. There is no dust jacket. Please see all the photos.
