"She Stoops to Conquer" or "The Mistakes of a Night" is a comedy by Oliver Goldsmith, first performed in London in 1773 and is still regularly performed. The play is notable for being the origin of the common English phrase, "Ask me no questions and I'll tell you no lies."
This edition was published by J M Dent and Sons as part of the Temple Dramatists Series in 1902 in Great Britain. It is a black hardcover book with an embossed cover and gilt lettering on the spine. It contains a preface and a notes section at the end of the play and has a red ribbon page marker. The pages are rough cut but the top edge has been gilt edged. There is some wear to the cover and spine as well as bumped corners. The pages have some smudges, foxing, etc. but there is no writing or underlining. The binding is tight.
