Antique Book "Troublesome Comforts A Story for Children" by Geraldine R. Glasgow

Here is a rare antique copy of the children's book "Troublesome Comforts, A Story For Children" by Geraldine Robertson Glasgow, published by Thomas Nelson And Sons pre-1920. This lovely decorative book has 106 pages and no dustjacket. It has faded blue-ish cover and spine with black lettering on the cover and gilt lettering on the spine. There is a charming picture of children gathered under a tree on the cover. The frontispiece is a full color illustration of children at the seaside. This book is in quite good condition. The cover and spine are slightly worn with some fading, smudges and bumped corners. There is a name, date and drawing on the inside front cover and a small book seller's stamp inside the back cover. There are no marks on the inner pages except for some foxing and the odd smudge. The paper has split at the front end paper hinge. The binding is good and tight. Give it as a gift for a favorite youngster or keep it as a treasured memory.
