Antique Canadian Perfect Seal | Clear 1 Quart (32 oz) Glass Canning Jar

Antique/Vintage from the 1920s This is a very nice clear glass 1 quart (32 ounce) antique Canadian Perfect Seal canning jar/lightning jar/fruit jar with glass lid. The jar is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The Perfect Seal canning jars were made by the Dominion Glass Company, Montreal, Canada and these lightning type jars were in production from 1915 to 1930s. In addition to the Perfect Seal embossed logo, the jar states 'Made in Canada' (above the shield) as well as on the original lid with 'Made in Canada'. This jar also had additional directions on how to open and close the lightning closure mechanism around the neck of the jar....'To Tighten Spring Move' (at the front) and 'Hinge to cover star' (at the back) at the neck of the bottle just below the wire.
