Antique Cast Metal Bookends

These solid, heavy bookends have the motif of a fireplace and a woman sitting in a chair. The detail in the trim around the fireplace is impressive and typical of real fireplaces of Victorian times. They look to be brass plated over metal, perhaps iron but I'm not sure.
