Antique Cheese Dish or Platter Bonn Tower by FA Mehlem

An antique -between 1885 and 1920- cheese dish or platter and cover made by FA Mehlem out of Bonn, Germany (full name is Steingut-Fabrik und Kunsttöpferei F.A. Mehlem). They are decorated with pink, yellow and blue flowers with gold trim. There are no cracks or chips but much of the gold has worn away and there are stains on the platter. Mehlem was bought by Villeroy and Boch after the death of Mehlem's owner in 1920. The platter is 8 5/8" by 8 5/8" at its longest while the lid is 7" by 6 3/4" and the pair stand 6 1/2" tall together.
